A platform for remote medical reporting with digital signatures based on ICP-Brasil certificates. It distributes examinations to the qualified professionals, receives the report, signs the document with legal validity and returns the result to the originating system.
The challenge
The medical report is a classic bottleneck: the examination is performed in one place and only becomes meaningful once a qualified professional interprets and signs it. If that professional has to be physically at the clinic, the whole operation is hostage to their diary. And a digital signature is no bureaucratic detail. A signed report is a legally valid document — it needs a valid certificate, a verifiable stamp, and the ability for a second professional to sign the same document later without invalidating the first signature.
The solution
Panaceia separates whoever produces the examination from whoever interprets it. Examinations enter a queue and are distributed to professionals according to each one's affiliation and qualification, and they write the report from wherever they are. Signing follows the PAdES standard, with the professional's own ICP-Brasil A1 certificate, and the stamp is placed on the page with coordinate-level precision. The document is signed in append mode, which lets other professionals sign the same PDF later without breaking the earlier signatures. Every document comes out with a QR code for public authenticity checking. The platform covers several report types — electrocardiogram, radiography, ILO classification of pneumoconiosis, parameterised forms and free-form reports — and connects back to the originating systems by webhook, notifying the client the moment the report is ready.
Results
46 domain entities, 13 modules and 75 database versions across three years in production. It acts as the signing service for the rest of the group's systems, with WhatsApp notifications and webhooks for external integrators.
