The digital catalogue of a jewellery manufacturer, with a portal where clients and distributors browse goods, photos and prices. A synchroniser keeps the catalogue aligned with the factory's legacy ERP, without requiring it to be replaced.
The manufacturer already had an ERP that had been running for years, with the goods catalogue, the photos and the price lists inside it. Replacing that system was not on the table — but it had no way of offering an online catalogue to distributors. The problem is that a jewellery catalogue involves a lot of images and a pricing structure that is anything but trivial: every item has a different price per price list, and the list changes according to the customer, with coefficients and indices applied on top.
Rather than replacing the ERP, Leon mirrors it. A dedicated synchroniser periodically reads the goods, the photos, the albums and the price lists from the legacy database and brings them into the catalogue, logging every run so that any discrepancy can be traced. On top of that mirror sits the client portal: the distributor logs in with their own credentials, browses categories, subcategories and types, sees the photos in high resolution and checks the price on their own list — with coefficients and indices already applied. The images live in cloud object storage, and the server downloads them automatically at each release, so browsing stays fast even with a large catalogue.
Seven years in production, the oldest repository of the set. A catalogue of 2,044 items, 12,075 price-per-list combinations and more than 2,000 images, kept in sync by 4,685 logged runs of the synchroniser.
