Zeus — fleet management and productivity platform

What the telemetry customer actually sees: a real-time fleet map, productivity and availability reports, checklist management, geofences, work orders and the Electronic Daily Report (PDE). It brings together 60 modules and around 41 operational reports.

The challenge

Collecting telemetry is the easy half. The hard part is answering the questions the manager actually asks: how many hours did that machine work yesterday? how long did it idle? who operated it? did the operator complete the checklist before starting up? is the fleet as available as was contracted? how much of the travel was productive? None of those answers is ready in the raw data. Every one of them requires cross-referencing the transmission, the scheduled shift, the identified operator, the reported activity and the client's business rules — which change from client to client.

The solution

Zeus is the layer that turns telemetry into decisions. The map shows the fleet in real time, with route history, a heat map and geofence display, and refreshes itself over a persistent connection to the server — without the user pressing F5. The operational heart is the Electronic Daily Report: the record of what each machine did, by activity, sector and shift, which replaces the paper clipboard and becomes the basis for every productivity indicator. On top of that sits the battery of reports: availability, analytical and consolidated, KPIs, hours worked per machine and per employee, travel, engine running, speed, G-force, hour meter, coupling and operation auditing. The heavy ones are generated asynchronously and made available for download, so as not to freeze the screen of whoever asked. The rest of the daily routine is there too: checklists with photos, work orders, tickets and open items, deliveries and pickups by geofence, refuelling, shift management, configurable alerts and WhatsApp notifications. There is also corporate sign-in via SAML, so the client can log in with their own company credentials.

Results

60 modules and around 41 operational reports in production, serving 260 companies. The database holds 2,848,261 Electronic Daily Report entries, 448,046 completed checklists (with more than 7 million individual answers) and over 2 million recorded G-force events.
